WHY ARE WE RUNNING?
We're running to raise money for a house in Uganda - a safe, permanent home for the MUNGU children. Right now, half of our kids are orphaned and living with relatives, friends, or our coach. This home will keep them safe, close to school and church, and focused on what matters: their faith, their future, and the game they love. We have received our NGO status in Uganda, meaning we are able to now start securing a home!
MUNGU is a faith-based soccer academy in Uganda with a mission to give hope and opportunity to kids who've been forgotten. We train young athletes to chase their God-given potential — on the field, in their communities, and beyond. This is how we raise up difference makers across Africa.
