A Better Life Through Football & Faith
The talent pool for soccer is immense in Africa. It is a sport played in nearly every neighborhood, city, and landmark. “The beautiful game,” as they call it, is what brings people together. There is so much skill and potential within this continent but much of it is never seen, and 99% of these young athletes are never even given a chance to take their game to the next level.
The mission behind this academy is to become a bridge between young African footballers and those scholarships, contracts, or loans that can help them take their sport to the next level, and at the very least, help these kids live much better lives. Our goal is to get each youth who passes through MUNGU Academy a chance to play elsewhere. We offer these kids not only football and education, but also faith in God. This gives them a meaning behind doing what they do. We do not want each athlete’s success to exist in a vacuum, but also, in turn, to bring money, resources, and awareness back to their communities and countries to start building up the lives of the next generation.
Our purpose is two-fold:
Give newfound opportunity to those who are living without hope
Spread the love of God across Uganda, Africa, and throughout the world
